• Welcome to the 14th Congress of the European Forum for Research in Rehabilitation 2017 in Glasgow!

We would like to cordially invite you to take part in the 14th Congress of the European Forum for Research in Rehabilitation, to be held in Glasgow, UK, from 24-27 May 2017.  This meeting is intended to provide everyone involved in rehabilitation research, practice, education, technology and policy making with an excellent opportunity to share cutting-edge research and best practice, and strengthen their networks in the vibrant city of Glasgow, UK.

The theme of this conference is “Working in Partnership Across Boundaries”, which reflects the EFRR’s endeavour to improve the lives of people with disabilities through the advancement of research and education in all biopsychosocial aspects of rehabilitation.   This requires working together across multiple boundaries, i.e. between research, clinical practice and industry, a range of clinical-academic disciplines and professional bodies, as well as health and social care together with non-governmental organisations.

We are honoured and delighted to host the EFRR 2017 at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), in Glasgow, United Kingdom.  As a modern university with brand new conference facilities, conveniently located within the city centre, GCU is well equipped to host the EFRR. With Scotland being the host country, delegates will be guarenteed a distinctive Scottish touch to the meeting.

The EFRR 2017 will be hosted jointly by the Society for Research in Rehabilitation (SRR) and the British Society of Rehabilitation Medicine (BSRM), who have a long and successful track record of hosting conferences together.

We anticipate that the EFRR 2017 in Glasgow will be an inspiring event with excellent networking opportunities for junior as well as established colleagues.

EFRR 2017 is accredited for 13 CPD credits.

We look forward to welcoming you in Glasgow!

    Prof. Aarne Ylinen,
    MD and EFRR President

    Prof. Frederike van Wijck,
    Congress President,
EFRR Vice President and SRR Senior Secretary
